I'm Sorry

It's not the amount of times you say sorry, it's the fact that maybe you shouldn't have.
Or that as you keep saying it it becomes a prayer.
5 words don't erase the sentiments that overtook me when the pain was flushing through.
5 words now seem a lie because of all you put me through.
Say it again. And again. By the time you actually mean it, I won't recognize it.
So; I'm sorry. But my apology is longer than the lies underneath your bad intentions. 
 

Color

Here's my observation:

I wake up 

My skin is brown.

I work out, 

Shower, get a massage.

Almost drown, 

Almost Choke.

Heal.

Still brown.

I have color.

 

Here's my argument:

I’m not only brown, I’m beautiful.

Dark and beautiful.

Like chocolate, caramel and cinnamon.

Color!

But, there are people 

who think it isn't.

"She's dark!"

Gasp!

 

So because I'm dark

I'm ghetto

I will steal your money 

Take Your purse without a gun

Talk without manners

Curse after every word 

Put my elbows on the tabl...

Square one
Always torn between two feelings.
This is why I cannot love.
There are people who understand it,
And then there's those who just ignore.

If you can't understand where I come from
Then you won't understand who I am.
If you can't accept how I feel
Then maybe I'm not what you feel.

In life we are fascinated, obligated and underestimated .
I'm all of the above. Square two:
I say what I feel when I feel that is wrong.
I say who I love when I don't love at all.
