Green Smoothie

My 3rd Green Smoothie this week.

I’m getting myself back on track, its time to resume my fitness.

For this I used:

1/2 a Mango
1 handful of spinach
1 large Banana
2 tablespoons of Yogurt
1/2 cup of SoyMilk

And just blend away.

This is so delicious, I’m more fond of putting spinach in my smoothies than Kale but I still do both!

I've started drinking Green Smoothies about a month ago. They have become my breakfast replacement, and if I do eat something besides the smoothie, it is very small. I really enjoy making them quickly before school. Usually I purchase my fruits in the weekend and cut everything up so that during the weekday I won't have to worry when I'm rushing to make it to class on time.

Green Smoothies help make your metabolism a little faster but don't take my word for it, everyone's body is different. Since I have always been an active person, my metabolism responds very quickly to healthier foods. Since I am transitioning to a Vegan Lifestyle, I have found this to be the perfect area to start. As I go through this process, I will be replacing the foods I eat one by one. I first started with the smoothies in order to increase my intake of fruits and vegetables (This can easily give you your daily serving). Then I stopped eating all types of meat, which has been the hardest part since my family eats Fish for the most part and sometimes chicken.

This is not an overnight process, but I am slowly getting where I want to go.

Hope you enjoy this recipe, and share some tips that you have tried!
XoXo
